Here are the pictures from the work done on 9-30-05.

In these pictures I was working on the door frame trims and dash.

On the door frame trims I was basically just trying to smooth out any irregularities and fill in any pinholes.

For the dash, as you’ve probably seen in previous pictures it was just an open area that had a piece of aluminum screwed over it and all the gauges sat in the aluminum plate. I didn’t like this and thought it looked like crap. So I made a template of the opening, cut out some pieces of metal that were slightly bigger than the template and welded it in behind the opening. Then I covered everything with puddy for a very smooth look. I also fixed the top of the dash where it had been somewhat caved in from sitting on it while working on the roof.

Now, on the dash, I will just have two gauges - one for the speedometer and one “quad” guage that has oil pressure, water temperature, voltage and fuel all on one guage. All of my switches and key switch will be hidden. I’m pretty sure this will look sweet.
